Qatar is a small, wealthy country on the Arabian Peninsula known for its modern skyline, vast oil and gas reserves, and the vibrant city of Doha.

Fun Fact: Khor Al Adaid, is a breathtaking natural wonder where the desert meets the sea, making it one of the few places in the world with such a unique landscape. Designated a nature reserve in 2007, Qatar has been working to have it recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The currency used in Qatar is the Qatari riyal (QAR), which has been the official currency since its adoption on June 18, 1973.

Qatar has a desert climate, characterised by hot, dry summers with temperatures often exceeding 40°C, and mild winters with temperatures ranging from 16°C to 25°C. Rainfall is minimal, with most precipitation occurring in the winter months.

Due to its desert landscape, Qatar also experiences high humidity along the coast, especially during the summer, which can make the heat feel even more intense.
