The currency used in South Korea is the South Korean won (KRW), which was introduced in 1962 to replace the Korean hwan.

Parents should ensure that their child's documents meet the official travel requirements for South Korea.

If your child holds multiple passports and plans to travel with one, while their UAE residency visa is linked to another, please make sure they carry both passports during their trip!

Please note, if your child is a citizen of a visa-exempt (B-1) country and is aged 17 or older, they must apply for a K-ETA before travelling.

We recommend that all minors travelling internationally, without a parent or guardian, carry both a signed parental NOC and a school NOC with them. Samples of each are provided below. This can help to mitigate any potential issues at border control and streamline the immigration process.
